ARE YOU READY??????? !!!!

NEWS FLASH!!!! IT'S UP AT AMAZON.COM NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here we are! "Soon" is actually upon us and there is more buzz than 100 beehives. We've gotten to hear 3 of those long awaited snippets to get a taste of what's in store. Of course, one snippet is not enough so I peed my pants hovering around my computer all day yesterday waiting for the next and then the next. This morning I think we crashed a couple of places trying to get PARTAY info...ain't it grand?

Amid all those thousands of documents I had to review yesterday (ok, hundreds) I would set a goal of so many pages and then reward myself by cranking up one of the ear teasers. It's amazing how a little ClayPlay can heighten your senses and void the fatigue and keep your ass from going numb (I sit on mine and don't consider it my focal point). I guess many fans were involved in some ClayPlay yesterday because those Usendits kept expiring and there were more links than a sausage factory; there were multiple BIG "O"s around the world as well.

Soooooo... with the snippets out there, and I'm sure more will be coming (*snort*), we can expect mixed fan reviews, we can expect the usual pretenders to shovel as much dirt as possible, we can expect the usual haters to bash away, and we can expect the self-proclaimed music experts to honk their horn on the "Covered Bandwagon". The thing about jumping on that particular bandwagon is that it's a way of trying to convince the younger generation that the artist who can REALLY sing and REALLY interpret a song is somehow flawed. These "experts" believe so called artists who write and sing/talk their own earbleeding, limited range dribble are "credible" musicians; these experts have been known to bypass the jumping phase going straight to humping that bandwagon, lest their peers think they aren't "cool".

What REALLY IS cool is that some of the younger generation was being polled yesterday on the message boards and, while they love Clay's voice anyway, they were hearing the cover songs for the first time and loving them. Of course, many of us were hoping for a snippet of some RockOutClay or SoulClay but we'll just have to wait a little longer. I think the reveals from the CD will build like a Crescendo because RCA doesn't want to kill us too soon and I'm sure Clay informed them that we're a pretty strong lot but his method of showing himself a little at a time has proven to keep us Coming Back for More!

Have you ever noticed how these alleged experts forget that back in the days when music was REALLY music 2 or 3 artists would record the same WELL written song at the same time. A few years down the road a couple breakout artists would revive those "covers" and maybe sing them in the original style or add new flare to coincide with the genre that was hot. HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The REAL Music Industry still does this! It's a way of making sure the REALLY good stuff doesn't get lost while shuffling the latest bilge into the mix of music history.

Moral of the story: Covers are important as they keep great songs alive so they become classics for future generations. This new CD is a mix of covers and originals. There was a period of about 10 of my children's formative years when good music was nonexistent and I would long for the day when my MTV Headbanger boys got a chance to hear REAL music. It came on a zephyr of fresh air named Clay Aiken and the zephyr is about to become a cyclone. Can you feel the excitement?

With ET having the exclusive it's no wonder Clay and Jaymes couldn't tell us much.

It doesn't matter what the critics say, I know what sounds good to me. And that's Clay's phenomenal voice.

I'd rather have a beautifully interpreted and executed cover any day rather than a mediocre original song. It is so interesting to watch my fellow Claymates ( yes I am one and see no problem with the name) respond to the snippets of music released over the last three days. 95 % of the fans seem to love what they have heard but there is a vocal minority on every board who seem to be throwing tantrums over wanting rocker Clay. HELLO! Were they paying any attention over the past three plus years? Clay is not a rocker at heart. He can belt out any song including rock but surely everyone must understand what makes Clay tick by now. I was seeing a scary reaction from a dissapointed few which reminded me of the "ex fans". Clay is someone who draws people to him in droves and apparently among all the many sane people who have a healthy admiration for the man and love of his voice there will always be a few who are confused and attached in an excessive way. I guess it will always be that way and we'll have to watch out for these people.
I'm more than ready for this CD and anxiously waiting for the first single which is reported not to be anything we have heard this week. Bring it own! Eyes and heart wide open!

I've placed my order with Amazon.com. Hear that Tinnys'? I spent money on Clay and I liked it!

Anonymous said...

It's beautiful, and it's on Amazon and he's on ET tonight.

It's BEGUN and it will be BIG.

Anonymous said...

Holy crap!! I waited so long for this!!! I've waited so long for "soon" and SOON is here!! Yahoo!I'm so pumped!!

Oh Crap said...

Well, Kit, they always say turn about is fair play. Wouldn't that shock the shit out of them?

Anonymous said...

Nope, they are long time Clay fans. I guess they had themselves convinced that this was going to be the rocker Clay CD and thought his new hair style was a confirmation of that. We have learned always to expect the complex and unexpected from Clay.

Anonymous said...

Admidst all the critical comments of the CD so far, specifically of being "gender neutral," there's only one that I hope is being saved and that's WAMLAW!

Do we dare hope? How "in your face" would that be?

Oh Crap said...

I think we'd all love to hear him do WAMLAW. I'd be drooling for the rest of my life.

nonnymus said...

OH CRAP. I just really love you. You are Blogsome and more.....

EXCITED? Hell yeah!!!

Just got home from work and am heading to Amazon
now.

Anonymous said...

Wasn't WAMLAW from the 60's? I think all the covers on this CD are 80's and 90's.

Anonymous said...

Just spreading the word that according to the OFC, Clay now has an official MySpace.

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=97926793&MyToken=23835678-0433-425b-98d0-7c27412dd71d

Oh Crap said...

WAMLAW was from the 60s but it was rerecorded by Michael Bolton soooo just maybe.

Clay's wearing a ring! Call me stupid, but I think Clay has made a statement.

http://www.waitt.org/waittgear/catalog.html

SP-132 — Coincide - "Crown Of Thorns"

"Patterned to represent your stand to wait."

"May this ring serve as a reminder that right now you are in step with your "true" love. Even if you don’t know who she (he, in this case) is yet. You are both living separate, but are in step. Your future unity will together bring power and strength to your relationship. Hold fast to your purity! Stay in step! Coincide!"

Anonymous said...

Did it say 'He in this case'? It is a pretty ring.. but I think it's a different one.

Anonymous said...

Now I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it could be. He removed the bracelet and went with a ring. It certainly fits with what he said in the RS article: "My own personal position is that it’s much more special to wait for the person who you’re married to."

I certainly like this explanation better than Buddy's, who say the ring is a gay commitment ring!

WRU said...

Clay is of Scot/Irish decent:

I think it is:

SP-136 — Wired Truth

Celtic pattern to symbolize your stand for truth. Wired knot symbolizes a tie or a bond to something. The knot continues around the band to serve as a reminder that waiting is a continual process. Remember to hold tight to what God has asked you to keep pure. You’re an example to others by your thoughts, actions, and words

Anonymous said...

As much as I want Rocker Clay - it does not matter.

I will buy this CD - maybe 2 - maybe 3. I just want Clay to sing whatever he chooses. Someday maybe I will get my Rocker Clay. But until he is ready - I support him 100% just being who he is. His personal life is no concern of mine. I take what he gives me and how he makes me feel. I love the Dream.

Anonymous said...

It's a nice ring, but I think it's maybe just that - a ring. Like a prop.

Oh Crap said...

Well, neither of my rings are props; they are rings.

Anonymous said...

Well, you know what I'm saying :) I meant, maybe for him, it's just a prop they used. Point is, I wouldn't look too much into it.

Oh Crap said...

I think the ring has been spotted before and someone pretty much came up with similar basic information about the ring.

Anonymous said...

OK, now I'm changing my mind again. It's been mentioned that in another pic there is no ring, as well as, the airport pics and the Y from a couple of weeks ago.

So, since he's also wearing a necklace, and a bracelet on the left arm, I'm agreeing that it's probably a prop. Just like not wearing a t-shirt. (Now we know that's an illusion.)

I'll bet the next time we see him he'll have on no jewelry, other than maybe a watch, but at least two t-shirts! lol!

Anonymous said...

loved it, loved him!!!! and love those darn sneakers!!!! WAS HE HOT LAST NIGHT OR WHAT?

Anonymous said...

I love to see Clay wearing jewelry. He is able to afford nice things now and it makes him look very sofisticated and rich. I like that. Maybe its just a ring he liked. Its not flashy, just classy.

Buddy boy is having a field day with the ring thing when it is likely just a prop.

Oh Crap said...

Buddy's field days at summer camp are about to end. Life is getting ready to rain on his parade because there aren't that many people paying attention to him. Pfffffffffft!

Anonymous said...

Yep, Buddy put up a link as "proof" and it lead nowhere. He is an absolute idiot who never gets anything right. Now, knowing how important it is, don't you think he would have followed that link to the exact ring, or even one similar? I guess he didn't think anyone would seriously go to the site and would take his word for it. Yeah right.

Anonymous said...

Okay I've been biting my lip, I need to say this...now folks it's only snark!!!

I watched Clay last night, and something crossed my mind...I wonder if JP was down on his hands and knees licking his tv screen when they showed Clay??? Okay I said and it is gross...can you just imagine that *gag*

Anonymous said...

Or maybe John's little link to nowhere was set as a little ClayMate catcher.

Ever think of that?

Oh Crap said...

Well, Aiken, I don't care what position JP was in but I know I was the one on my hands and knees licking the screen.

Anon, maybe he should be more concerned with the instructions for making a cootie catcher.

Anonymous said...

Why don't we just try to ignore the slimey bastards?

Anonymous said...

"Buddy put up a link as "proof" and it lead nowhere."

Anon 11:51 Oh, it led somewhere. It led to Reichen and his old BF from last year. The Love and Pride commitment ring didn't have much power. lol! I'd ask for my money back. So much for any kind of a lasting relationship in the gay community. I even hear that Reichen and LB are about to call it quits. It's really hard to keep up with these guys.

Thanks, OhC. Don't let anyone rain on our parade for at least a day or two. lol!

#1 at AMAZON, baby!! Woo Hoo!!

Over 21,000 views and almost 2,000 new friends at his MySpace in two days! Woo Hoo!

Clay co-wrote a song! Maybe that will be the new single! Woo Hoo!

A full page of Yahoo Alert articles announcing the new CD. Woo Hoo!

Could we say new single released by next Tuesday? Woo Hoo!

I'm excited, can you tell? Woo Hoo!

I guarantee that even these idiot haters are spewing this crap that this will help OMC in his CD sales.

Don't forget about the Killer Photo that sent me to the store for more Depends....not to mention the bucket of KFC for under my fat arms. I might get hungry eventually since I can't tear myself away from that sultry, long lashed, suckable lipped, dreamy eyed, lanky legged hunk. Don't know how I'm going to eat the chicken though because I've superglued my tongue and lips to my computer screen.

Note to an Anon poster: Nice try.

Anonymous said...

Oh Crap,

Thanks, I do understand. BTW: I am from Texas. They asked.

Anonymous said...

Joanie, are you the same Joanie that's posting at PH? If so, way to go, girl!

Did anyone happen to see Buddy's other blog? OMG!!

Totally an XXX rated, porn site. And this is a born again Christian?

Oh Crap said...

That born again Christian thing is one of his biggest whoppers.

Come on in Joanie; feel free to post in here. We're all about making assholes out of assholes.

Anonymous said...

Hey everyone,

I am Joanie. Had to make myself go to bed last night. I have posted here for a few weeks now. Some day maybe I will work up to posting on the boards.

Some days I am a posting fool on PH(last night). I have tried being nice over there, then someone sets me off and I am calling the idiots the worst names. There are days when I am calm and can ignore them. They are not really worth the stress.

Now, on to something good. These new pictures have turned me into a drooling lump of mush. He is so fine, so sweet, so sexy. Oh, excuse me, I got carried away.

Anonymous said...

Joanie, you said - paraphraising -
smart people know when they see, smell or step in shit. I think you were so right. This new CD I
think has the potential to be very big. I love CA and I am excited for this CD. I see myself listening to it for hours and hours and loving every cut. Plus, he is so hot.

Anonymous said...

Joanie - Welcome to Equalizers.

You can't be "nice" at Perez. No one commenting there knows what nice is. It's all fun and games to them and they deliberately try to be as outrageous as possible to rile of the Clay fans because they know they'll get a reaction from us.

The best you can do is hold your own, post only the truth as you see it, avoid attacking them, and never let them see you sweat!

Anonymous said...

Can I just say something about Buddy wanting to be a porn star but was turned down. Um...does anybody get turned away? I've seen a few porn flicks in my lifetime and um...it doesn't take much. He's got to be the first porn star wannabe that was turned away. Too funny!

Anon...I did want to say that...YEP! IT's pretty freaking funny! Bwahahahaha

Oh Crap said...

Ok, I deleted my own comment and just want to say that I'll try to screen the "Buddy" posts as I see fit. Although he has reopened his blog, I think it's moot because he has been so thoroughly busted and I would like to see us get away from dwelling on him. Starve him with less attention.

Anonymous said...

Does Buddy ever talk about any more
interviews, or going "main stream"
media anymore....uhmmm NO. Have I seen his site since he reopened it
uhmmm NO.

Oh Crap said...

I haven't seen his site either; don't care to.

Anonymous said...

A little inside information: A key phrase and theme surrounding the promotion for this CD is going to be stressing "all different kinds of love" and especially "unconditional love". The talking points are: Any artist grows over time and experiences changes. Some of those changes are going to be more visible than others (like with the new look). Some may not be as accepting of change as others, but for every one of us change is all a part of growing. Through the stresses that accompany growth we always need and hope for an "unconditional love" to support and carry us through.

Oh Crap said...

I'm like Clay said he is; I'm not that deep.

Anonymous said...

Maybe I'm too sensitive but I think

Looks like I need to apologize to fell4Clay2. I didn'realize that was a fans s/n. I have been worried that someone would use my name to post on there. I tried to post on PH but couldn't right now.Even though I am familiar with a lot of screenames, I do not know them all.

Anonymous said...

You know all out honestly we all should just ignore all the creeps, we have much better things to look at, drool over, and count our blessing for Clay Aiken!!! I'm so ready to be happy again!!

Anonymous said...

Anon 5:30 - It's part of the game they play. They will use the screen name of anyone they dislike, or want to malign for whatever reason, including memebers of Clay's own family.

You just need to consider the source, especially the content of the comment, use your intelligence and think logically. Then just ignore, ignore, ignore. A reaction is what they're after.

Oh Crap said...

I just had a reaction to my beans. They can have that one.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, it felt good to ignore a post by snickerdoodle. I will be doing more of that.

When all is said and done they will be like throwing a pebble in the ocean. They will make a few small ripples but the effect on the ocean waves will be minuscule.

I see it happening already. The buzz for Clay's new album is just beginning but has already overshadowed anything the haters may say.

NAMES & FACES

Saturday, August 5, 2006; Page C03

'Idol' Champ Isn't No. 1 Fan

He may have taken the top prize in "American Idol" a few years ago, but Ruben Studdard wasn't exactly glued to this season's show.

"I watched maybe three episodes, because my mom was calling about it," he confessed on the phone to us yesterday. Studdard, 27, listed contestants Paris Bennett , Mandisa and Taylor Hicks as his favorites, but said he thought Richmond native Elliott Yamin had the best voice.

Ruben Studdard confesses that he rarely watched "American Idol" this season.

These days Studdard is gearing up for the Sept. 26 release of his third album, "The Return," which nearly coincides with the release of a new CD by his "Idol" rival Clay Aiken . The horror! "Oh, man, I don't care," Studdard laughed. "That's my friend."

Anonymous said...

I agree...when you read their blogs...it's so laughable. They have made utter fools of themselves. They made so many claims none of which have come true in any way. How does Groucho live with egg on his face. He has even alienated some of the haters now that they see what a total kook he is.

Anonymous said...

Someone just left Buddy a long warning on his blog. Is this Ft. Lauderdale guy or Anatomy of a Conspiracy?

"We intend to put a stop to you because we have been investigating you for some time, so if you dare try and slander Clay Aiken again, we will put all the truth out there and I am sure you do NOT want that, now do you? I will post here when we post our investigation to our Blog so you can read your sorry story that the world will soon see if you say one word about Clay Aiken that is a lie again. We set out to investigate and expose you and we will."

Oh Crap said...

Holy Chit! It wasn't me!

Anonymous said...

LMAO!!! Well, it wasn't me, either. Nor half a dozen other comments attributed to me over there.

Regardless, this poster is being attacked (no surprise) by someone saying they are a Clay fan.

Oh, BTW, I am now a Cover Lover!!

Oh Crap said...

Better than being a lover of earbleeding screeching.

Oh Crap said...

There was a lot of investigating going on the first month we went behind closed doors and a lot of shit was uncovered then. I figured someone would keep going. There are a lot of fans in the legal and government fields. I'm not surprised.

Oh Crap said...

Could be Buddy himself so he has an excuse to sprinkle some more fairy dust.

Anonymous said...

I think its probably Buddy sending this to himself to make it look like he is being threatened by the fans.

I very seldom look at Buddys blog and have not checked out his latest. Groucho and TFH are just as crazy so its works best for me to not even go to theirs either. I have posted at PH a lot but have decided to ignore if I can.

These people do not realize that the more they say and do makes them seem even more insane.

Anon at 4:59, as far as I know, a rumor is exactly what it is.

Oh, ok. But where did this come from? Who started it?

Anonymous said...

Holy Moly!!

Go read Buddy's latest blog. You don't have to read comments, just the first blog.

He has been contacted by TC and Clay's attorneys about the CBS Mother's Day interview he posted a couple of weeks ago.

Cease and Desist, baby! Suspended account at Ebay, YouTube, and Adult Auctions for his DVD and the "Former lover of Clay Aiken" remark!!

http://www.clayaiken411.blogspot.com/

Anonymous said...

Oh but Poly, the comments are the best part. He makes such a fool of himself.

Oh Crap said...

TC has ignored his sorry ass all this time; do you suppose it was just the numerous complaints?

Oh Crap said...

That was interesting. Perhaps it was Team Faye which I would imagine would be 10 times worse.

Anonymous said...

Don't know, could be.

But maybe now we know why he suddenly disappeared.

And I have no idea why he chose to blog about it. Who would have known otherwise?

Anonymous said...

The comments section on JP's blog - 2 people point out that is a standard form letter that many people get. Poor Buddy believes he is the reason they were clearing the way for promotions. Such an ego.

Anonymous said...

That may be true, but it doesn't explain the copywrite infringement from CBS.

And of course, we all know what adult auctions was all about.

It could be that at that time, Buddy had a load of advertising on his site and he was making money, so in essence it's the same as profiting from the use of the name.

Oh Crap said...

Could have been complaints about his nasty stuff and then CBS Attorneys probably jumped on it after fans told them JP was using the clip without clearance. Whatever the combination was....
BWAhahahahaha! About frigging time someone nailed him and not in the fashion he would have liked.

Oh Crap said...

Shortly I will bleach my eyes but I just couldn't resist reading the comments. I can't believe someone is still under the impression that those fake webcams of Thom Yorke with some Clay features are real. Where were they when WSCA busted them and the fake IMs?

Anonymous said...

Lots of diversionary tactics going on over there. Did you notice? Some are attempting to constantly change the subject. In fact, most of the comments have nothing to do with the blog subject.

Oh Crap said...

I saw that. LOL...I also saw where they are borrowing parts of people's screen names. They have no life, no clue and no creativity.

Anonymous said...

Well, I anonymoused my way over to JP's blog to see what the hoopla's about. There's not even anything to laugh about, it's just boring.

I'm going back to Clayland to read about superstar, #1, hunkalicious Mr. Aiken.

I still appreciate you guys for keeping us up to date on the latest.

Hugs to all of you.

I don't think I will read JP's blog but I would also appreciate any updates, I believe like alot of others that we need to stay aware of that scum.

Save you pennies ladies, the Battle Royal is about to begin, watch live on pay-per-view....Sept. 19-26

American Idol mania I

• It's so exciting when American Idol battles spill out onto the streets. Ruben Studdard, who laid the smackdown on Clay Aiken on the show's second season, will again have to face off with his vicious, trash-talkin' rival next month when their new albums are let loose. Clay will unsheath A Thousand Different Ways on Sept. 19.

Ruben will counterpunch with The Return on Sept. 26. And the so-called Velvet Teddy Bear means business: He says the first track is "The Return of the Velvet Teddy Bear." (A real bruiser!).

But Clay vows his album will unleash hell itself: "This is an album of love songs, but they are about all different kinds of love. Romantic love, friendship, unconditional love."

Oh Crap said...

Anonymous said...

That is not what the suit is about. It's about the past and the McGee family, not the present and in my opinion, it's just a way for the author to gain publicity for her book.

Has anyone ever heard Clay defame anyone's book?

Look at the demands of the lawsuit from the article:

"The lawsuit demands a minimum of $260,000 in damages and asks the court to order Aiken to issue a retraction of the critical comments or endorse her book, on his official Web site, to write a positive introduction for the book, and to sell the book at his concerts for at least five years."

Anonymous said...

I just saw the lawsuit nonsense. It's that silly book written by the woman who was a neighbor of Mrs. McGee when Faye and Clay stayed with her. She is doing it to sell books, trying to make it sound like she has damaging information that the family is trying to hide. The whole book is about the fans traveling to concerts and how she claims that she was a neighbor 20 years ago.

Unfortunately, she will sell the dumb book because people will think there is dirt in it. Wait until they read her exciting adventures attending Clay concerts!

Oh Crap said...

LOL...Oh no! That book was unauthorized and she didn't know Amorillas McGhee as much as she said. I remember Faye saying that but never heard her or Clay say anything against her..just that the writer exaggerated just a leeeeeetle about her "connection" to the family.

I guess there are more cockroaches in this world than I thought.

Oh Crap said...

I just read a version of it. She said that Faye went on message boards which is a crock. I've never heard Clay mention the book. The judge will slap her with a fine for a frivolous lawsuit because I only remember that one comment that the gal exaggerated about how well she knew the family. I think the writer had claimed that Amorillas practically "raised" her and Faye denied it happened like that.

For all the assholes trying to get your comments thru you can save the effort. I don't even think this woman was around Clay much past the age grade school maybe.. Not really sure about this, does anyone else remember?

Anonymous said...

Holleman claims Aiken, his mother and others conspired to defame her and depress sales of her book by denying they knew her, branding her stories as lies and demeaning the book on Aiken fans' Web sites.

Clay can be sued for what is said on his "fan's Web sites?"

Give me a break. It's a frivilous law suit. Throw it out for lack of evidence...it's garbage!

The assholes must be frothing at the mouth. They are so stupid.

Even if Clays Mother said she didn't really know her that well, how could that be grounds for a lawsuit? This book is unauthorized. Seems to me Faye could say things from her own perspective.

Oh Crap said...

We should probably file suit against Kelly because Groucho's exists. We'd probably have more success.

Oh Crap said...

I take that back, I guess Clay sang at her daughter's wedding. Anyway, the book is about the fans and less about her exaggerated connection and as far as I know the only thing said was that the book was unauthorized. Big Deal!

Does anyone have any solutions? I am weary of all the strife. Take me back to May 2003 and let's start over. I just want to enjoy Clay. That's all. What did he ever do to deserve all this crap?

When I ask for solutions, I am serious. Perhaps it is the hour, but I'm finally getting weary of all this.

Well, she's done it to herself. Prior to today she was getting very good reviews on Amazon. Now they're saying she writes an unauthorized book and then sues her subject? How clever is that?

I agree, if the book is unauthorized Clay and Faye could say anything they want to about it. I don't know how she's going to prove the defamation. I've never seen anything about the book...nothing like Spikes! And you know I'm old and ugly and on the computer 24/7! LMAO!

Clay was hired to sing at her daughters wedding. She turned around and sold copies of the video on Ebay for $75.00 a copy (or so I've been told).

I have posted as Joe before on PH and now someone used that name to slam Clay. And, of course, it won't let me post tonight at all. I just wanted to tell you all it wasn't me. I didn't know if you remembered about that or not. I guess I have to stop going to that website too.

Anonymous said...

I guess its a good thing I can't post on PH tonight. The assholes are working themselves into a frenzy. Maybe they will eat each other if we don't take the bait. Now thats something I would love.

Can't you just picture that? Their sneering, ugly, dumb looking faces and going at each other. That is what I picture Hell to be like.

Funny how the lawsuit grew legs as CA is getting more publicity.

Frivolous crap, like the haters!

Oh Crap said...

Well, I'm going to sit back and take this like everything lately. Pffffffffffft !!!!!!!!!!!

"I have posted as Joe before on PH and now someone used that name to slam Clay."

Sorry, but I wouldn't worry about it. No one knows who "Joe" is. There could be more than one.

Even if you post and say that the post isn't yours, know one will care. It's happened to me more times than I can count. It's happened to all of us. It's all for one and one for all over there. No ones listens to what you say. It's who can post the most outrageous BS.

This Holleman woman is transparent. If she was such a good friend of Faye's, she'd know Faye does not hang out on message boards. I wish all the amateur writer would just go back to keeping diaries or whatever they used to do before there was the internet.

Anonymous said...

can you see it now, 5 years of wear and tear on the same books they started off with, musky smelling, yellowing pages, covers falling off...I wouldn't buy that book if every page was lined in gold....

Oh Crap said...

Aiken, you can bet the gal shot herself in the foot with this suit. Think how many fans, not on the internet, would have bought that book if it had any publicity at all.....therein lies the problem, doesn't it. No publicity for it. I didn't even know the book was done and out there, so what better way to spread the word.
BITCH!

Polly 11:52,

You are right. I kind of expected it because I mentioned about posting with that name. And they don't care what anyone says.I am glad I was not able to post last night. There are other people who posted some good stuff.

How stupid is the lawsuit? Did she really expect to make a lot of money on the book? Freaking unbelievable.

THIS IS NOT FOR POSTING - JUST COMMUNICATING WITH YOU!

Someone on JP's blog was asking about the comment JP made about Diane Bubel coming to his house. I remember that one and have been going through my screen prints. I ran into a Word document I have where I saved his last blog - I clicked on the comments and lo and behold they link! I don't know if anyone is interested in it or not but I could send the entire Word document to someone but it is huge! I will give you one link so you can see what I mean. I am worried that he will notice that I am perusing this blog and try to move it. Unfortunately, I have to leave in about an hour so haven't found that comment he made about DB yet. I would imagine you might also have this but maybe not. Here is one of the links and I hope it isn't too long and got truncated. let me know. Now, how do you let me know? I don't know and I'm spooked about everything. Maybe you could just say Anon JM, got it or something. Or didn't, which the case may be.

What is interesting is you are all correct, Amazon.com is linking her book with CA "Buy the both", Buddy boy actually shows on his blog the true person behind it. The lady was alledgedly physically removed by Jerome or other security personel from the Hawaii conference and that is part of the lawsuit.

Sounds like Buddy and this lady would get along very well!

Why on earth would Amazon pair this particular "Clay related product" with the new CD...I mean..Clay has to be a big money earner for them. One call from RCA or Clay's atty's should change that.

I just read a statement made by Clay and it is more than excellent

Oh Crap said...

Anon at 11:48, I'd be interested to know where you read the statement.

WRU said...

Would you link that statement please?

I contacted Amazon through email and politely suggested they stop the link to the book due to the lawsuit.

It's a fox news release - Saw it on the clackhouse and it is real

Never Mind! Found it. I've always said he's not one that anybody would really want to piss off and I guess someone finally pissed him off.

Can't give you a link because it came from a private site and Yahoo Alerts but here is a copy:

Author of Clay Aiken Book Sues Singer

Monday, August 07, 2006
RALEIGH, N.C. — The author of an"unauthorized tribute"to Clay Aiken is suing the"American Idol"singer, claiming he defamed her and conspired to stifle sales of her book.

Jeannie Holleman, 50, says she is a lifelong friend and neighbor of a Raleigh family that were friends with Aiken's mother, Faye Parker, and took her in when Parker and her young son left her abusive husband.

In the lawsuit, filed Friday in Wake County Superior Court, Holleman claims Aiken, his mother and others conspired to defame her and depress sales of her book by denying they knew her, branding her stories as lies and demeaning the book on Aiken fans'Web sites.

Aiken, in a statement issued by RCA Records, said Monday that he had"instructed my attorneys to not only vigorously dispute the claims that have been made but to also pursue all possible remedies against those involved in the perpetration of these untruths."

Holleman's 2005 book,"Out of the Blue _'Clay'it Forward,"incorporates interviews from the McGhee family and her own recollections with stories from Aiken's fans.

The lawsuit also claims a bodyguard for Aiken manhandled Holleman at a fundraiser in Hawaii.

A telephone message left Sunday at Parker's home was not returned.

The lawsuit seeks at least $260,000 in damages and asks the court to order Aiken to retract the critical comments or endorse the book on his official Web site, to write a positive introduction for the book and to sell the book at his concerts for at least five years.

In his statement, Aiken, 27, also said:

"As a so-called `celebrity'I have become used to scurrilous allegations and untruths being made about me and my work. I have always taken the path of not reacting to these matters and have accepted them as, somehow, coming with the `job.'However, I cannot, and will not, stand by when these attacks are made on my family."

Never mind, I found it!

Hopefully this is inclusive of Buddy boy and his merry band of haters also.

CA and his lawyers have enough to put these people away for life so we will see if CA is just fed up with the garbage .

Thank you!

I love this -

"I have become used to scurrilous allegations and untruths being made about me and my work."

You tell it like it is, Clay baby!!

Face, Buddy!!!

Just let the haters keep it up, keep his name out there on a daily basis until Sept. 19th. Clay is all over my TV today and I am loving it!

There's no such thing as bad publicity!!

You hit the nail on the head Polly Graf!

This is great for OMC and they can bring it but they will not be able to contain the Clay Train!

We must remember when fans, outside of the internet, last saw Clay. No doubt it was the AI finale and they witnessed all the buzz that followed on the entertainment shows. He looked happy, relaxed, his head held high with nothing to hide.

This story, it's timing, and Clay's response is perfect before he goes on a promo tour. He, in essence, has answered any looming questions from the media just waiting to pounce on him about tabloid rumors. Most of the important media already knows about the untrustworthiness of tabloid gossip.

But now Clay has addressed it, not specifically, but in general. His normal approach is he does NOT respond to untruths! You can't be any more specific than that.

A good interviewer could play this up in a big way. The underdog, runner-up, worked hard to be successful, and his selfless dedication to his charities, still being bullied and managing to hold his head up. "How do you do this, Clay? America wants to know."

This could generate a huge interest and sympathy factor for Clay and his new CD. Not that he needs any sympathy, but a great human interest story for America's Most Beloved Reality Star.
