There is a huge sigh of relief and celebration in the swamp today. Last night Butty was all contrite and scared to death of what Clay might say in the GMA interview today. But since Clay didn't come right out and call him a liar, he now believes he's won and is off the hook...scott free!

I think I heard that Clay was addressing the Paxil thing because a certain gossip whore was going to try to damage Clay's image by going the druggie route on his "segment" of a gossip TV Show. That kind of got nipped in the bud. Wonder who that TV person is? Hmmmmmmm!

She can related to Clay as an artist and musician. He is so lucky to have us (his fans). On working with him, the short and sweet version: her CD producer produced that particular track on the CD. There's something special about Clay. These days, in the music industry, as we know, there's a lot of treatment of the voice. She was sitting by the producer when he was tuning Clay's voice, and he wasn't moving his hands much at all. He turned to her and said, "Clay's voice is perfectly on tune. We have one of the best singers in the world on our hands."
Where did you read that HDD indicated that Clay will debut at #1? I read somewhere else that it would be #2 will 200,000K in sales?
It's on the CB but I didn't want to post numbers as the way HDD worded things, it's vague at best and a play on words. Some are looking at it as Clay may have 200,000 in sales OR he may only need 199,000 MORE in sales to top Timberlake.
At any rate, we will NOT know what the numbers are or where he places until next Tuesday when Soundscan reports.

Clay Aiken isn't the only Idol constantly forced to deal with the gay question. Australian Idol Guy Sebastian, a heterosexual Christian virgin, says the gay rumors have been relentless and have inspired enough vandalism and abuse to make him want to quit singing:

I was entertaining the idea that it would be awesome if like a thousand of us fans got together and took out a full or half page ad in one of the major newspapers thanking Clay in A Thousand Different Ways for his music, his heart, and for just being him. but organizing something like that would take alot of skill, and after looking up some of the prices to take out a full page ad, we'd need atleast 3000 fans to contribute like 10 bucks each hahaha. and THEN I thought, at that rate, if we were ever to collect such an amount, it would be smarter to donate it to BAF and Unicef. anyway, just entertaining ideas to really show Clay what he means to us in a positive, beneficial and BIG way. =)
Yes the lawyers know who is involved whoever asks that.
They also have a complete DVD with screen shots of the former blog of pickle and Groucho and all their online names on the gay male hookup names.
They knew about the allegations of drug abuse because of the DVD sent to CA himself. We keep JR up to date with all the crap. They also know about this blog.
Please be patient. CA and the lawyers are taking charge with this by speaking out publicly. I trust they know who and what and when to arrest and/or indict.

My sister - who is NOT a Claymate, but sorta likes Clay was here today. I showed her the quote in People online (she knows about the tabloid stuff... doesn't really care.) She said, "You know what? If it was me, I would get tired of saying, 'No, I'm not gay.' After awhile, what can you say?"
She is of the mind of "who cares?" and she's not a big fan, but listens to MOAM and said she would probably buy ATDW. She didn't like all of the songs, but enough to be interested.
I'm posting all of this as a reminder that the general public really doesn't pay attention or give weight to the tabloid stuff and even less to the online stuff.

One thing occurred to me as I've watched the interviews the past two days: in filing a lawsuit against someone like, say PH, the maggot ("pickle" is too kind), or one of the tabloids, would one not have to prove injury, emotional or financial? I think Clay just covered that ground pretty well.
I love that he gave the maggot just about as much attention as he deserves which is exactly none. I'm also glad he said that what's in the tabloids and on the internet is false (what part of that do some people not understand?) and very glad that he pointed out the vindictiveness and offensiveness of those who persist in trying to smear him and question him over and over again about the sexuality question that he answered years ago when he said he wasn't gay.
A very long time ago, like over three years ago when Clay was still on AI, Clay's mother said that he chose not to be adamant about answering that question because he had gay friends and didn't want to seem defensive (thereby implying that to be thought of as gay was somehow an insult, and thus insulting those friends ... Clay is an extremely open-minded, loving, and tolerant person). It's ironic that, because of the stance he took so as not to insult the gay community, the gay community has, instead, attacked and turned on him. Ironic and sad.
And Clay was right ... why do people care so much? It is NO ONE'S business... not about him, not about ANYONE.

I think its important to say that the whole gay community didn't turn on Clay...just a few very ill gay people that are most likely embarrassing the hell out of

The People Magazine scans are up now. Clay talks a lot more about the tabloid rumors and how they are false, even manages to laugh at them a little bit. He also talks about why he did not respond to the rumors, because certain people and certain magazines have gotten a lot more attention that they deserve. I think this article gets the message across without a doubt that he is not gay (without him stating it directly) and the rumors are false.
It has been interesting to see that the gay rags and blogs are still insisting he is gay.
After refuting it for 3 years of interviews, he finally told the public there wasn't any reason for him to repeat it over and over. He won't be bothered anymore. The public will believe only what they want to. The Gay rags and blogs are proving his point.

I finally took the time to look at those webcam photos by WSC. Wow. I saw things that I didn't when I first looked at them. Excellent work! Thank you so much. And, now today we hear directly from Clay regarding those webcam photos.
I am going to try to find the right words for the intangible stuff running around in my head so bear with me.
I am not heartless and do feel for those who have been believing pickle's story. I was reading on Openly Clay, and some seem to be sincerely trying to come to terms with the fact and truth of the words Clay has said this week. I'll give them some wiggle room because most truly are fans, albeit in a strange way. Tin's and JP's boards are hate boards so I cut them very little slack, at least not the die-hard ones over there.
So, with that being said. If those having a problem believing Clay were to step back and look at the big picture, it might help.
The numbers I'm going to use are larger on both sides, but for illustrative purposes, I'll use what we have. 12,000 Clay fans and 100 Haters, or some ratio thereof.
This week's interviews are much the same scenario as his "Thank You" back on January 23rd. At that point, if he were gay or any of the rumors were true, simply looking at those numbers, he would have had to come clean if it were true. Since it wasn't true, his simple words "Thank You" said it all. Fast forward to this week. That same line of thinking is true only on a much larger scale - national television.
He made it very clear that the rumors were untrue and that he is straight. For those having trouble grappling with the various details you have been fed or led to believe, try to look at it from the larger point of view.
Does anyone honestly believe that Clay would lie to the 12,000 PLUS the millions who watched that on television?
I don't know if that helps or not, but I'm trying to see this situation from other's points of view.

Friday night (9-22) at all WalMart US Stores (they weren't sure about Alaska & Hawaii) there will be a 40 minute "CLAY SHOW" beginning at 7PM in each time zone (ending at 7:40PM)
The show will be on all store monitors PLUS all the TVs in the home electronics department...even the huge plasma HDTVs! It will include the Intro, Four Songs and the Interview (repeating them through the 40 minutes).
I have been over to RHT. I am pissed. But I love Clay no matter what anyone thinks. God, he is gorgeous.

Rosie ODonnell was great with OMC on The View today. She was very sweet and kind to Clay which I appreciate.

I must admit to have some curiosity of about the mind set of the regular OC ers that post openly on their public forums. At each major sad event in this whole saga, I have popped by for a look. When the JP story came out full force, they were stunned with silence. I think they actually for about a nano second had a feeling that perhaps they were part of the problem. It didn't take long for their self indulgent fantasy games to start up again.
Post Diane Sawyer, I see them whipsawing from shock, glee, to despondancy and bouncing right into anger. I've come to the conclusion that these people, despite what their chronological ages may be, have the emotional maturity of your average fourteen year old.

I try to read as many boards as I can. It's just a part of who I am. I try to figure out where everyone is coming from - It boggles my mind how some people see the same things I do, and come to a different conclusion.
I feel confident that my conclusions align with the thousands rather than the few, bringing me back to Clay's conclusion that people will believe what they want to believe, whether it is in error or not.
I don't worry about cooties over there - some of them are even fairly rational but they don't post that often.

I truly do hope and pray that TC is watching pickle's blog and all the others. This is out of control and something legally needs to be done. This is insanity.
As for the OC'ers. No big loss if they leave the fandom nor any others who follow suit. What part of the last 3+ years didn't they get? It's not our problem. They and the Johnettes have been drinking their own brand of lemonade which made them delusional. Mushroom lemonade perhaps?
The fact that pickle has to always ask for help would tick me off if I were a Johnette. He was their leader in this crusade and should have all the answers for them, not the other way around.

My personal opinion is that everyone should read these other sites or blogs themselves. Sometimes others notice something that others don't - they may recognize screen names or fit other puzzle pieces together. The nonsense about giving hits is kinda silly. And, it is difficult to bring back to another board what all is said without losing something. I say, go for it. jmo
I just read over at OC and if those are fans Clay didn't need all these enemies. Glad they're leaving the fandom.
Are the people at OC nuts? This wasn't a contest. It wasn't the 'hets' versus the 'gays'? Clay, for about the hundredth time, set the record 'straight' by saying 'he was 'STRAIGHT'.

I visited RHT (on the members' list for years but never post) yesterday but they wouldn't allow my post.
To be honest, all the members seem to be...s...ing..up to Todd Venice but his comments were quite obviously spoken out of the other side of his mouth. If you read his comments closely, he's intimatimg Clay is gay at the same time he's listening to the posters rant that he's not.
I was posting on the Beavers On Idol rant board a year or two back when they busted Todd venice as a troll..no kidding...now he acts like he's one of the fans. What a hypocrite, eh?
So let me get this straight? (no pun intended)

Todd Headlee alias Todd Venice was the manager for Milli Vanilli. Their "BLAME IT ON THE RAIN", which debut at #1 was written by Diane Warren. Todd was posting on ph's old PageSixSixSix blog.
Todd Venice was listed as a passenger on a gay cruise back when the Kathy Griffin thing was happening on RHT.
Todd Headlee aka Todd Venice also pretended to be a woman on the BOI board. He said he was married to someone who worked for RCA...he blasted all of the RHT people pretending to be someone else. It was horrible.
That's it! They are all crazy as loons and can't handle real life.

I have always been fascinated by the role Todd has played in all of this.
Todd Headlee supposedly knows PH and monies Todd made from premium memberships at RHT helped fund PH's first server....found this on a blog awhile back when googling. It's just a blog, so I don't claim it had any validity, but I searched a lot at the beginning of the year and I found many references on gay blogs and Clay boards stating that Todd was "supporting" Clay on RHT but going on gay sites and trashing Clay and the Claymates. Again, I don't assign any validity to these references, just reporting that I read them. LOL.
It is, however, a fact that in Fred Bronson's Billboard Hits book that Diane Warren stated she provided her song to Clive Davis who was looking for songs for Milli Vanilli. When the group was busted Todd, their manager said:

Could we start a new message board? One that takes Clay at his word, that heard his answer everytime he answered the question? I just got blasted over at RHT because I said if everything JP and the tabloids has said were true, that would make Clay a monster, as compared to what he's told the fans. Maybe I shouldn't have used the "m" word. Maybe hypocrite would have been better, huh?

I take Clay at his word but I would never believe Clay would be a monster.

I just want to say. When Clay came on the scene he was a naive 24 year old kid from a fairly small close knit community in the South.
Everyone grows - everyone goes through many phases in their life. Everyone changes how and why they do things.
Clay was literally thrown to the wolves of the Hollywood machine. I believe he followed their advice - because he didn't know any better.
Would I hold him to anything he said in those early years? NO
Do I fully accept and support Clay no matter what? YES
I believe in him - I believe in his deep rooted character. Do I expect him to be perfect? NO
I fully 100% support him standing his ground that his private life is no one elses business. It would be nice if other celebrities spoke out in support of him.
