HAPPY THANKSGIVING

It's the beginning of the Holiday Season and I plan on taking a break from all this pettiness for a few days.

I'm going to celebrate life this Thanksgiving though it's an especially meloncholy one for me. I'm going to celebrate the excitement and happiness I feel when Clay Aiken sings, talks and looks into the camera with those sparkly eyes and big smile.

I'm going to celebrate the fact that both my parents are still here and they are still healthy; however, the reality of life has hit me like a ton of bricks today as I reached a grieving stage after the initial shock at the loss of my Aunt two nights ago. She was a fiesty redhead with freckles and a very snarky attitude. She was loving and kind and giving and never had an unkind thing to say about anyone. I will miss her terribly.

I've reached the point of anger in grievance. My family will be feeling a terrible hurt for a long time. I don't understand why my Aunt is gone and those who inflict hurt through lies, deception and just plain evil are allowed to breathe.

I clicked here first to say Happy Thanksgiving. I didn't know that you had lost a family member 2 days ago... though I wondered where you had been. I am very sorry to hear that. My prayers are with you and your family.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone...

It's 6:53am here on the east coast, and I just gave the turkey his bath before hitting the oven. So much to do today, but taking time to say Thank God I have Clay Aiken in my life...one that note here is a little fun:
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.

MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP,

MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS,

MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE,

MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER

STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS.

GOBBLE TIL YOU WOBBLE.........

AND IN ALL AND FOR ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS.

I'm so sorry for your loss!

And, this is a perfect time for many of us to take a few days off and step away from this ugly stuff that resides in those dark caverns on the internet.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and hold your loved ones close to your hearts whether near or far away.

OhC - I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt. Real life does have a way of putting this nonsense into perspective.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Thank you all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I feel much better after getting things out of my system late last night. The year is almost over which means buttboi's "contract" holds the same status. Looking forward to Christmas and a Free Clay Aiken New Year.

My sincere condolences with your Aunt.

I hope you have peace in that she is in a much better place.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry to hear of your loss, OhCrap...it's always hard to lose someone but especially around the holidays.

Blessing to everyone. Think about what we are all doing today...getting turkey ready for the oven...making stuffing...making pies...getting ready for family...spending quality time with the ones we love.

Compare that to what the "others" will be doing today.

We are SO BLESSED.

So very sorry for your loss.
Keep happy memories of your aunt in your heart forever!

We have a tragic thing going on in our family. A very good friend's son was killed in a car accident last night. He was suppose to be the best man in another friends wedding on Saturday. My daughter is one of the bridesmaids.

These things do put things in perspective....

Happy Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for...even with our sadness.

OC every holiday I carry a very heavy heart, both of my parents passed away, and believe me it hurts big time.

My heart goes out to you and your family. Family is family no matter who they are, and will be dearly missed.

OC,

So sorry for your loss. That is a very difficult thing to go through, especially aroumd the holidays. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

It does put a perspective on things though.

I hope everyone has had a happy Thanskgiving.

OhC I"m sorry to hear about your Aunt; and I know what you mean. A couple months ago, I lost a very dear Uncle. The sweetest man with a sarcastic wit; incredible faith and a huge love for his family. It's just not fair, is it?

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in NZ, but I've always thought it a wonderful holiday that serves to remind us of our blessings. And we have many of them, including Clay. Enjoy the time with your family - time that's all too precious.

Blessings to everyone here - looking forward to our "All Is Well" and the Christmas shows. And then - who knows what wonderful things 2007 will bring? Hopefully it will mean I get to meet some of you.

Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt OC. It is hard to lose anyone you love but the extra special ones hurt extra hard. I lost my sister many years ago when she was only 36 and it took a loooong time to finally heal. I will always miss her(she was my best friend) but I finally came to believe it was her time. It was all she was given and she still is here with me in my heart. It will take awhile OC, but soon you will remember her with a smile. Hugs

The DirecTV performance Songs of Praise is from Clay's Christmas special in 2004.

He sang Silver Bells with Quiana Parlor.

I don't have DirectTV so I'm going to miss this.

Got a new blog up.

Just repeating Art's link.

That montage should be shared on all the blogs - it's excellent.

I did notice the post about it at OFC got moved from The Man to some obscure section I've never looked at.

WTF?

Truth Rules said...

I put that montage on my blog - before I even saw these links.

It's a great Montage. Thanks, Art. It answered KR's question pretty well.

Good Sunday morning everyone!

Things seem quite here, which is wonderful. I had a little excitement last night. I spent 3 hours in the E.R. with my son, he was playing football yesterday with the neighbor kid and got his pinky finger broke BIG time. He is a tuff kid and will be fine.

I loved the video Art created, it brought me to tears this morning...thanks for sharing it!

Hope everyone has a great day!

thanks wru....
He has been a little trooper, I can't keep him still long enough to ice it, I'll get him tonight while watching tv. This is the second time he has broke the same pinky :-(

WRU said...

Yikes, I played soccer(Goalie) and softball so I have had my share of broken fingers.

Just never use heat with swelling, icing it will help with the pain.

I just got home from ten days without a computer.........

OhCrap, so sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope the pain eases and that your memories of her will bring you smiles again soon.

Aiken4Clay - hope your little boy feels better soon, too.

It's good to be home and to see Clay on my computer again. I did have a chance to watch him on R&K and Tyra, though; and, of course, saw him sing on GMA this morning. He just keeps getting better and better looking - I just love that man to pieces!!

It would appear to me that their little smear campaign has backfired. Clay has had non-stop news coverage for the past 10 days and more to come tonight!

He's currently in People, and will be again on Dec 4th, as well as OK magazine.

Butty is a has been. His site has been taken over by spammers and he currently has his old job back??? Whatever!

Adios! Butty!

Anonymous said...

I haven't been to ASSwipe's blog in a very long time. What is he up to now? He has his old job back? Which one would that be? And he is not longer doing his blog?

Anonymous said...

I don't go near that place anymore, and ya know what I feel 100% better, and I'm getting ready for Xmas with my son....and Clay!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have been away from a computer except for a few minutes for the last five days. All my time was spent with family and friends. Let me tell ya, it sure feels good to step away for awhile. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. We have so much to look forward to.

Buttboy has his old job back? What job is that? Bending over and grabbing his ankles? I thought that was ongoing.

Anonymous said...

I heard that Butty lost his job at Century 21. It's about time they wised up.

I wouldn't want my personal info in the hands of someone who posted his nude pictures on line everywhere. Also, someone who's made it his job 24/7 to post lie after lie about Clay Aiken in order to destroy him not only wouldn't have time to sell houses, he sounds like he has a few screws loose.

Century 21 did the right thing.

I really don't care if Buddy lost a job, has a job, who he works (or did) work for. His story and blog are a total bore and I rarely go over there anymore. Usually go over out of curiosity to see if he is still batting flies in the air.

Sure enough, he is.

What a life.

John has chosen to give Clay a great birthday present. He is closing down his blog.

Thoughout the day the archives began to disappear, and at the stroke of midnight he put up one final blog which was to wish Clay Happy Birthday. Then he posted the following comment:

So my journey with you all on this blog ends today. Thank you for a very interesting moments and memories that I will always have. God Bless all of you and Happy Birthday Clay.
