In Honor of the "...Things You Didn't Know about Idol" Special

Today I was watching a special about the things we didn't know about Idol. One of the Brits "plugged" the site "Vote for the Worst" but not in a complimentary way. The significant parting comments centered around the fact that Idol has so many voters that the insignificant number of votes prompted by "Vote for the Worst" doesn't amount to a hill of beans because he (the Brit who shall be nameless) said that the right person would win and he would see to it. Of course, Clay's fans know all about the lengths the AI machine will go to in order to accomplish the outcome they want.

For an interesting read about how dirty the AI machine is go here:

"(the Brit who shall be nameless) said that the right person would win and he would see to it."

So is the nameless Brit saying our votes don't count? They pick the winner regardless of who votes how?
But we already knew that.

Of course the right person would win and he would see to it. It's called putting your money where your mouth is.

Becoming a successful popstar takes lots of cash in promotion and payola to radio. It's called pay for play. None of this is free. Neither are magazine covers. If Simon wants to create a star, he makes his prediction and then makes damn sure that prediction comes true. All in his quest to look like the next musical visionary.

If he wants to denigrate someone, especially if he miscalculated, he has his PR machine gear up to plant negative stories about that individual on the net.

I wonder if there's a time limit to the smear campaign, when they realize their attempts to destroy are futile? Or the "Idol" has paid his/her dues and is now deemed worthy enough to retain the status of an Idol?

12:48 Somtimes I feel like this is a "Mexican Stand Off". I think that whomever is footing the bill for this smear pretty much has to keep going because they know that we know what is going on and that we're damned close to finding out who holds the purse strings. It could be that they are afraid that IF Clay ever gets away from RCA that he will honor his confidentiality clauses but we don't have to.

Vote for the Worst has a new article on Clay/Spamalot. The comments are nasty beyond belief. They make CFI's loonies look somewhat less disgusting. These VFTW creeps need to get a life!

If the comments are nasty then they probably are CFI and the loonies.

I used to come by this blog regularly but now there's nothing.
Are you bored?

I've been a leeeetle bit busy but my blogging will pick up soon. I was planning a big 2007 Year in Review blog but it's still a work in progress then 2 computers went pffft and both are being worked on...hopefully, they will be returned with everything in tact. If not, no biggie. As for most of my time during the last 4 months...I've been on a Clay Aiken high with all the Spamalot recaps, photos and the latest CD photo. After seeing what might be the new CD cover I may have died and gone to Heaven and just don't know it yet. I'm still trying to breathe and the only thing coming out of my mouth is OMG!
