Mario Lavandeira, aka Perez Hilton, made some comments on the View on Friday that set my thoughts back to 2003, late fall, or 2004 early winter. Mario said that he started using a fake name because he was afraid of Clay Aiken’s fan coming after him. This isn’t true, which leads to his other comment that everything he says is true. In fact when Mario is on his site he has this disclaimer on it:

Postings may contain erroneous or inaccurate information. The owner of this site does not insure the accurateness of any content presented on PerezHilton.com.
Since the owner of the site is Mario Lavandeira, that gives you a pretty good idea of Mario’s “truth!” I think I know the real reason that Mario is using a fake name, other than the fact that he is a freak. When he was working as a legitimate writer for a gay magazine, he was also publishing his first viscous gossip blog, pagesixsixsix. He was not using a disclaimer, and he just happened to be “using” his employer’s server to publish the blog. Of course, the employer didn’t know that. When the employer found out that Mario was “borrowing” their bandwidth, and leaving them open to lawsuits for libel, Mario was out on the street and unemployed. So, I contend that Mario uses a fake name because he is continuing to engage in illegal activity and does not want to be tracked down. By now, anyone who can think for themselves knows that Perez Hilton is really Mario Lavandeira, so the fake name is just a dumb looking affectation.

Did some other little cowardly blogger attempt to follow in the footsteps of his "idol" with his own blog? I think so. Users, all of them.
In the beginning, Perez attempted to jump on the Clay train and used the fans to his own advantage, and it worked...up to a point. By posting his "scurrilous allegations and untruths" about Clay on his blog early on, he raised the ire of the Clay Nation. Many fans who were admittedly innocent bystanders and inexperienced in the evil ways of the gay gossip bloggers, were outraged and horrified that such preposterous comments would be allowed on the Internet, much less said about their "Idol." Perez knew that.
But that was then - this is now. Perez has progressed from sleeping in a garage to appearing on the View. Fortunately, we're older and wiser and have a lifetime supply of BUG SPRAY!!

I'm glad you said this as it gives me a chance to add one more untruth. He says he changed his name because he received death threats. Bullshit! He stole that particular line from another idiot blogger because it sounded good. But then, we've all heard how good he is at stealing. Just ask X17.
Next time he uses that comment, I'd like to see whoever publishes it ask him to show the police reports he surely filed.
And another lawsuit is filed against him - this time for libel.

Just for clarification for stupid little me, can you tell me WHEN exactly he changed his name?
We all know what year Clay appeared on AI, but I'm not too sure many of us know when mario lavdndeira changed his name to pigface perez.
The timing would make all the difference in the world in setting the TRUTH out there for all to see.

Mario started using the Piggez name when he was writing the page666 blog, so fall 2003 maybe? Somewhere around that time.
"Lavandeira briefly worked with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination before moving onto various gay publications and the renowned gossip rag Star. In 2004, he also started his own celebrity-centric blog entitled Pagesixsixsix, a reference to the New York Post’s famous gossip column, Page Six. The blog quickly earned the reputation of being “Hollywood’s Most Hated Website,” and in May 2005, the New York Post sued Lavandeira, forcing him to change his domain name. "I guess they didn't find the name funny," he says in retrospect.
The lawsuit also prompted Lavandeira to come up with a new online identity, and he boldly rechristened himself Perez Hilton, claiming to be a cousin of Paris, the famous hotel heiress. The name stuck and PerezHilton.com was soon born."
Thank you for the low down on the asswipe. May 2005 is a hell of a long time before any of us knew either of his names. Now we know too much and wish we'd never heard of him and wish we'd never been exposed to people like him. I've learned a lot and I'd gladly give it back. His "truth" is an abomination of the word - he wouldn't know the truth if it crawled up out of the sewer and bit him in the ass!!
Glad to see he's finally getting a dose of what he deserves - maybe this will send a message that people don't have to sit back and just take it cause its on the internet or popular!

Send that quote to The View. Let them know what a liar he is. His claim that he changed his name after receiving death threats from the fans makes good schtick, but it's untrue. The majority of the fans didn't even know who he was back then.
How can he feel threatened by the fans when he's always claimed that it was his ragging on Clay and the expectant hits to his blogs in defense that made him rich? What a contradiction!
It's all a game to him. He's just another garden variety sociopath and pathological liar. He got caught more than once posting photoshops of Clay and those airline camera shots and added his own phony IM's as truth. That is, until he found out what actually happened and had to erase it all.
Another fraud.
Which brings me to a question. Regarding those airline photos, where did they originate from? Were they shown anyplace but at Pigez's blog? OC Ginger made up a poem with a line saying that a "friend" of Piggie's took the photo. Now it could be that it was just a verse to complete a rhyme or.......

I read that PH is getting all the publicity because of his new show. He'll be old news tomorrow. He won't stay main stream if he continues with his filth.
